Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in Eve

Overview

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security feature that requires users to provide two or more verification methods to access Eve. Instead of relying solely on a password, MFA adds additional layers of security to protect your organization's data from unauthorized access, even if a password is compromised.

How It Works

MFA combines multiple authentication factors to verify a user's identity:

• Something you know — your Eve password

• Something you have — your smartphone or email account for receiving verification codes

• Something you are — biometric data like a fingerprint (when using authenticator apps that support it)

When a user logs into Eve after MFA is enabled, they are automatically prompted to choose and set up their preferred MFA method through Eve's authentication system. This setup process includes step-by-step guidance and only needs to be completed once per user.

MFA in Eve is an organization-wide setting. When your firm enables MFA, all users in your Eve account will be required to use it — it cannot be enabled for only a subset of users.
