Exhibits in Eve

Overview

An exhibit is a supporting evidence file attached to a draft: a medical record, a police report, an image, a PDF. Exhibits are built and ordered inside the draft itself, and export as a packet.

Exhibits appear in the draft's Table of Contents as a managed section. Each one carries a title, a source, and one or more page ranges, and the same source document can supply several separate ranges. Exhibits can be reordered, edited, or deleted at any point before export.

How It Works

Exhibits can be added while creating a new draft, or added to an existing draft that does not have them yet. Once the section exists, it behaves like any other part of the draft: it sits in the Table of Contents, and its order is yours to set.

There is no cap on the number of exhibit files. The combined total across all exhibits is capped at 10,000 pages.

Exporting

Three export formats are available:

• Demand letter only, as a DOCX.

• Exhibits only, as a PDF.

• Combined, as a single PDF holding the draft and its exhibits together.

Common Uses

Exhibit packets for pre-litigation demand letters are the main one. Others include:

• Settlement packets

• DIME packets, meaning a consolidated set of medical record exhibits prepared for an independent medical examiner

What Exhibits Do Not Do

• The page cap is on the combined packet, not the individual file. A set of exhibits that each fit comfortably can still exceed 10,000 pages together.
