How to Update Medical Overviews After Adding New Medical Documents in Eve

Last updated: August 10, 2026

Overview

This article explains how to re-run a medical overview after uploading missing documents to ensure Eve incorporates the new records and bills into your case analysis. When you add missing documents identified by Eve—either by uploading them directly to Eve or through your connected case management system—you must re-run the medical overview for those documents to be analyzed and included in the visits breakdown.

Prerequisites

  • You have already run a medical overview that identified missing bills or records

  • You have uploaded the missing documents to Eve or your connected CMS

  • The documents have finished syncing (if uploaded to a CMS)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Upload the Additional Documents — Add additional documents by uploading them directly to Eve or through your connected case management system. If uploading to a CMS, wait for the sync to complete before proceeding.

  2. Re-run the Medical Overview — Trigger a new medical overview analysis for the matter. Be sure to include both the old and new documents as part of your context. Eve will analyze all selected documents, including the newly uploaded bills and records.

  3. Verify the Documents Are Incorporated — Once the medical overview completes, review the visits breakdown to confirm the previously flagged missing documents now appear associated with the correct visits. The red notification popup indicating missing records should update to reflect any remaining gaps, and visits that now have complete documentation should no longer show missing document flags.
