Overview

Blueprints are tools in Eve that generate fully structured, formatted legal documents based on your firm's templates and prior work examples. They produce documents like demand letters or complaints ready for finalization and sending, preserving your firm's specific formatting, style, and tone.

How It Works

Blueprints differ from Eve's chat-based drafting in both process and output:

Chat-based drafting generates unformatted text or quick answers in response to conversational prompts. The output is plain text that requires manual formatting and structuring.

Blueprint-based drafting creates complete, formatted legal documents that match your firm's standards. When you draft using a Blueprint, Eve applies the outline, style, tone, and formatting details from the example documents you provided during Blueprint creation — including letterhead, fonts, spacing, and structural elements.

Blueprints are created once using 2-4 high-quality completed example documents in DOCX format. After creation, the Blueprint lives in your firm's repository and can be accessed from any matter going forward. You can generate as many documents from a single Blueprint as needed.

If your firm uses different document styles for different case types (for example, separate demand letter formats for car accidents versus slip and fall cases), you should create separate Blueprints for each style to maintain consistency.
