Central Library in Eve
Last updated: March 10, 2026
Overview
Central Library is a repository of files that any user can reference across all of their matters in Eve. It exists to store organization-wide context that is not specific to a single case, such as legal research, expert materials, damages and verdict information, judgments, or prior depositions from experts that apply broadly across multiple cases.
How It Works
Central Library is structured around collections — folders that contain related documents. All users in your firm can select and use files from Central Library when working in their Matters, but only firm administrators can create collections, upload files, and manage the library.
Where Central Library appears in Eve:
In Matters: Central Library files are available in the Library section located just under the chat box, next to the Matter Files section. You can select files from Central Library before asking Eve a question, drafting from blueprints, or running playbooks.
In skills: When running skills like Fact Search, Eve will prompt you to choose whether you want to use files from your Library alongside your Matter files.
Where Central Library does NOT appear:
Leads do not have access to Central Library files
Medical Overview does not currently pull in Central Library files
