How to Navigate Matter Views in Eve

Overview

This article helps you understand the three matter view options on your Eve dashboard and how to set your preferred default view. When you log into Eve, you arrive at the Matters page, which serves as your central dashboard. Each view filters matters based on your relationship to them, and you can choose which view Eve opens to each time you log in.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Understand My Matters View — This view displays matters you have created and matters that have been shared with you as a collaborator. When you select My Matters, you see only the matters directly relevant to your work. This is useful for focusing on your active caseload.

2. Understand Favorites View — This view displays matters you've marked with a star to keep top of mind. You can favorite any matter you have access to, regardless of who created it. When you select Favorites, you see only the matters you've starred. This is useful for tracking high-priority cases or matters you reference frequently.

3. Understand All Matters View — This view displays all matters across your firm to which you have access. When you select All Matters, you see the complete inventory of cases your permissions allow you to view. This is useful for firm-wide visibility and cross-team coordination.

4. Set Your Default View — Navigate to your preferred view (My Matters, Favorites, or All Matters), then select "Set Default View." When you set a default view, Eve will open to that page each time you log in. You can change your default view at any time by repeating this step from a different view.
