Playbooks

Overview

Playbooks are saved sequences of prompts that automate multi-step tasks in Eve. They allow you to teach Eve to perform complex workflows automatically, rather than manually entering each prompt in a conversation. Playbooks are designed for repeatable analytical tasks that require multiple steps to reach a conclusion or output.

How It Works

Playbooks function as automated conversation workflows that Eve executes in sequence when you run them. Instead of typing multiple related prompts one at a time, you create or select a Playbook that contains all the prompts needed for a particular task. When you run a Playbook, Eve automatically processes each prompt in order and produces the complete analysis or output.

Playbooks are ideal for complex, repeatable workflows such as reviewing client intake documents to identify case weaknesses, analyzing discovery responses for deficiencies, or evaluating new case information against predefined criteria. If you find yourself asking Eve the same series of related questions repeatedly to reach a particular conclusion, that workflow is a strong candidate for a Playbook.

Playbooks live in your Skill Library and can be configured as private (visible only to you) or shared across your firm. Your Eve workspace comes pre-programmed with example Playbooks, and you can create new Playbooks at any time by saving effective prompts you've used in conversations.

Multi-step Playbooks execute multiple prompts in sequence with a single click. For example, a witness identification Playbook might first compile a list of all potential witnesses in a matter, then identify the top five best witnesses to call for deposition, and finally draft an email to each identified witness. Each step in the sequence produces a response before the next step begins.

• Star Icon: The indicator that appears between prompts in a multi-step Playbook, showing where Eve will produce a response before continuing to the next prompt in the sequence.

• Skill Library: The location in Eve where Playbooks are stored and managed, allowing you to organize, share, and access your automated workflows.

• Matter Context: The specific documents or files from a matter that you select for Eve to analyze when running a Playbook.

• Central Library Context: Optional reference documentation from your firm's central library that Eve considers when executing a Playbook.
