Medical Overview Missing Records Flags
Last updated: March 10, 2026
Overview
Missing Records Flags are indicators Eve surfaces in Medical Overviews to help you identify gaps in medical documentation for personal injury cases. These flags highlight when visits have no associated bills, no corresponding medical records, or when mentioned visits lack any documentation, enabling you to send document requests faster and avoid incomplete demand packages.
How It Works
After you run a Medical Overview in a Matter, Eve analyzes the medical documentation and cross-references visits with their associated records and bills. When gaps are detected, Eve surfaces them through a red notification popup at the top of the Medical Overview.

Selecting the notification takes you to a visits breakdown view where you can review each missing record in detail.

This helps your team identify gaps early, reduce the risk of claim delays, and ensure every case is ready for a demand without missing documentation that could reduce case value.
Key Terms
Missing Bills: A visit that has medical records describing the treatment but no associated bill documenting the cost of that treatment.
Missing Records: A visit that has a bill but no corresponding medical documentation describing what treatment occurred.
Mentioned Visit with No Documentation: A visit referenced in other medical records or case materials that has neither an associated bill nor medical record in Eve.
Visits Breakdown View: The detailed view Eve displays when you select the missing records notification, showing each flagged visit so you can review gaps one by one.
