Overview

This article shows you how to manually sync a matter in Eve to immediately pull in the latest documents from your connected case management system. While Eve automatically syncs data nightly, manual syncing lets you retrieve new documents right away without waiting for the next scheduled sync. This is useful when you need to work with files that were just added to your CMS.

Prerequisites

  • Your case management system must already be connected to Eve

  • The matter must exist in both your CMS and Eve

  • You must have access to view the matter in Eve

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Matter — Open the matter in Eve that you want to sync. You should see the matter details page with all associated case information.

  2. Initiate the Manual Sync — Locate and click the sync button or option within the matter interface. This triggers an immediate connection to your CMS to pull in any new documents or updates.

  3. Confirm the Sync Completed — Wait for the sync process to finish. You should see a confirmation message indicating the sync was successful, and any new documents from your CMS will now appear in the matter's document list in Eve.
