Last updated: September 30, 2026
Overview
This article shows you how to push medical visit and billing data you've reviewed in Eve into SmartAdvocate, using the write-back's preview-and-confirm flow so you control exactly what gets written.
Prerequisites
Your firm uses the SmartAdvocate integration with Eve
You've reviewed the matter's medical visits and bills in Eve
Step-by-Step Instructions
Review the records in Eve — In the matter, review the medical visits and billing in Eve as you normally would, verifying providers, dates, amounts, and treatment details. Exclude or edit any visits or bills that shouldn't be pushed; excluded items won't sync.
Start the write-back — Click the SmartAdvocate tag in the matter header to begin the sync. [IMAGE: smartadvocate-writeback-start.png]
Review the preview — Eve shows a side-by-side comparison of what will change: new records being added to SmartAdvocate and updates to existing records, where Eve data would replace current values. [IMAGE: smartadvocate-writeback-preview.png]
Resolve provider matches — Eve matches providers to existing SmartAdvocate contacts automatically; for any provider it can't match, select the correct SmartAdvocate provider so a duplicate isn't created.
Confirm and push — When the preview looks right, confirm to write the data to SmartAdvocate. There's no undo, so check the preview before you confirm.
