How to Sync Reviewed Billing to Litify in Eve

Overview

The Litify write-back pushes billing data you've reviewed in Eve into Litify, so nobody re-keys bill information between the two systems. It runs on a preview-and-confirm flow: Eve shows you exactly what it's about to change, and nothing is written until you approve it.

What syncs is the billing data from the matter's medical overview. Treatment and visit data stays in Eve.

Before You Start

  • Your firm uses the Litify integration with Eve.

  • The matter has a medical overview with billing data in it.

  • You've reviewed that billing data, because the write-back pushes what's in Eve as it stands right now.

What Gets Written to Litify

Six fields move across:

Eve

Litify

Bill start date

Service start date

Bill end date

Service end date

Provider on the bill

Provider name

Total charges

Amount Billed

Insurance and patient payments

Payments

Adjustment amount

Adjustments

If a provider on a bill doesn't already exist as a contact in Litify, the sync creates a new firm-wide role for that provider. Worth knowing before you push a matter with providers your firm hasn't worked with.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Review the billing data in Eve. Verify the provider, dates, amounts, and line items in the matter's economic damages.

  2. Exclude or edit anything that shouldn't go across. Excluded bills aren't pushed, and any edits you make to the economic damages are reflected in what gets written. This is the only place to control what syncs: the write-back itself has no bill picker, so a bill you want held back has to be excluded here first.

  3. Select the Litify button in the matter header to start the write-back.

  4. Review the preview. Eve shows a side-by-side comparison of what will change: new bill records being added to Litify, and updates to existing records where Eve data would replace current Litify values.

  5. Confirm and push. When the preview looks right, confirm, and the billing data is written to Litify.

There's no rollback. Once a sync runs, it can't be undone, so the preview screen is the moment to catch a wrong provider or a duplicated bill.

What the Sync Won't Do

  • Delete anything in Litify. The sync never removes existing records.

  • Touch a bill that only exists in Litify. Each bill record is tracked individually, so a bill in Litify with no match in Eve is left alone.

  • Overwrite without approval. Where Eve data conflicts with a current Litify value, the conflict is shown in the preview and the replacement only happens if you approve it.
