Unable to Login to Eve
Last updated: June 9, 2026
Having trouble accessing your Eve account? Login issues can happen for a few different reasons. Here are the most common causes and how to fix them.
Common Login Issues and Solutions
Using the Wrong Login Method
Eve supports multiple ways to sign in: Google authentication or username and password. If you're seeing a message that says "This account doesn't have access to Eve," you may be trying to sign in with a different method than you originally used.
Solution: Try the other login method. If you originally signed up with your Google account, click "Sign in with Google." If you created an account with a username and password, use those credentials instead.
User Not Invited to Firm Account
The most common cause of the "This account doesn't have access to Eve" error is that your email address hasn't been added to your firm's Eve account yet.
Solution: Contact your firm's Eve administrator to request an invitation. They can add you by:
Logging into Eve
Navigating to the Users page
Selecting "Add User"
Entering your email address to send an invitation
You'll receive an email titled "Welcome to Eve" with an invitation link. Check your spam or junk folder if you don't see it.
If your invitation link has expired: Contact support to have a new invitation email sent.
Browser Cache or Cookie Issues
Sometimes stored browser data can interfere with the login process.
Solution:
Clear your browser cache and cookies for eve.legal and login.eve.legal
Try logging in using an incognito or private browsing window
If that works, you may need to clear your regular browser data
Try using a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
Solution: MFA reset is self-serviceable by firm admins. Your firm administrator can reset your MFA by:
Logging into Eve
Going to the "Users" page
Finding your user account
Clicking the dropdown menu to the far right of your email
Selecting "Reset Multi-Factor Auth"
This will reset your MFA and allow you to set it up again.
Email Verification
New accounts require email verification before you can fully access Eve.
Solution: Check your email inbox (and spam folder) for a verification email from Eve. Click the verification link to activate your account. If you didn't receive the email or if your invitation link has expired, contact support to have it resent.
Connection or Network Issues
Sometimes login problems are caused by network settings, firewalls, or VPN configurations.
Solution:
Check your internet connection
Try disabling your VPN temporarily
If you're on a work network, check with your IT department to ensure Eve isn't blocked by your firewall
Try connecting from a different network (like your phone's hotspot) to see if the issue is network-related
Account Access Expired or Removed
If your trial ended or your firm's subscription changed, your account access may have been removed.
Solution: Contact your firm's Eve administrator to verify your account status.
If standard troubleshooting doesn't work: If you've tried logging out/in, restarting, and using different browsers or computers but still see the access error, contact support. They can remove and re‑add your user profile, then send a new invitation email to resolve persistent access issues.
