Support Widget Not Appearing in Eve
Last updated: June 22, 2026
Overview
The support widget is missing from the Eve interface and cannot be found anywhere on the screen. This usually happens after Eve is reopened on a different display or at a different screen resolution than when the widget was last moved. Because the widget remembers its on-screen position, that saved location can end up outside the visible area.
Before You Start — Diagnosis
Reload Eve first — refreshing the page rules out a temporary loading issue, since the widget is part of the Eve interface.
Note whether your display setup changed since you last used Eve — for example, you had Eve open on an external monitor that is no longer connected, or you are now on a screen with a different size, resolution, or scaling.
Scan the edges and corners of the Eve window — if the new display is close in size to the previous one, the widget may have shifted to an unexpected spot rather than disappeared entirely.
Confirm which browser you are using (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari), since the steps to reset the stored site data differ by browser.
Fixes
Possible Cause: Saved Widget Position Is Off-Screen After a Display or Resolution Change
Cause: The support widget loads at the on-screen coordinates where it was last placed. If you move the widget, close Eve, and later reopen Eve on a display with a different size or resolution — for example, you used Eve on an external monitor that is no longer connected — the saved coordinates can fall outside the visible area. When the new screen size or resolution is the same or similar, the widget usually just appears in a slightly different position; when the difference is larger, the saved position can land completely off-screen, so the widget does not appear in Eve at all.
Steps: Reset (clear) the stored site data for Eve in your browser, then reload Eve. Clearing site data may sign you out of Eve, so have your login details ready; your matters and other data are not affected. Use the steps for your browser:
Google Chrome
Open Eve (app.eve.legal) in Chrome.
Click the site information icon (the sliders or tune icon) to the left of the web address.
Select Site settings.
Under the Usage section, click Delete data, then confirm by clicking Delete. To also clear saved permissions, click Reset permissions.
Return to the Eve tab and reload the page.
Microsoft Edge
Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, then select Settings.
Select Cookies and site permissions.
Under the Cookies and data stored section, click Manage and delete cookies and site data, then See all cookies and site data.
Search for eve.legal, expand the result, and click the trash icon to delete its stored data.
Reload Eve.
Mozilla Firefox
Click the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner, then select Settings.
Select Privacy & Security in the left pane.
Scroll to the Cookies and Site Data section and click Manage Data.
Search for eve.legal, select it, click Remove Selected, then Save Changes.
Reload Eve.
Safari (Mac)
In the menu bar, choose Safari > Settings, then click Privacy.
Click Manage Website Data.
Search for or select eve.legal, then click Remove.
Click Done, then reload Eve.
Expected Outcome: After Eve reloads, the support widget reappears in its default on-screen position and is visible again. You can reposition it as needed, and it will stay where you place it until your display setup changes again.
