Cannot Revert an Edit in Medical Overview Economic Damages Ledger in Eve
Last updated: March 10, 2026
Overview
This article resolves the issue where you need to undo a change made to the Economic Damages Ledger but cannot find the revert option. The Medical Overview ledger tracks all edits with a full change history, and you can use that history to view previous values and manually revert individual fields back to their original state.
Before You Start — Diagnosis
Confirm the following before attempting to revert an edit:
The row you edited shows an asterisk or edit indicator
You can see the References column change log icon on the edited row
You know which specific field value you want to revert (charge amount, description, payment, etc.)
Fixes
Possible Cause: Change History Not Visible
Cause: The change log icon in the References column has not been selected, so the edit history is not displayed.
Steps:
Locate the row you edited in the ledger
Look for an icon in the References column indicating the row has been edited
Select the icon to open the change history panel
Review what changed, when it changed, and who made the change
Note the previous value you want to restore
Expected Outcome: You can see the full edit history including the original value before your change.
Possible Cause: Not Using Edit Mode to Restore Previous Value
Cause: There is no single-click "undo" button — you must manually re-enter the previous value using the standard edit function.
Steps:
Hover over the asterisk on the edited field to view the prior value and updated value
Note the previous value displayed in the tooltip
Hover over the row and select Edit
Enter the previous value from the change history into the field
Confirm with the checkmark or press Enter
Expected Outcome: The field returns to its original value, and a new edit entry is logged in the change history showing the reversion.
Possible Cause: Multiple Fields Edited and Need to Revert Selectively
Cause: Several fields in a row or bill were changed, but you only want to revert one specific field while keeping others.
Steps:
Select the References column change log icon for the edited row
Identify which specific field you want to revert and note its previous value
Hover over the row and select Edit
Update only the field you want to revert, leaving other edited fields unchanged
Confirm with the checkmark or press Enter
Expected Outcome: Only the selected field reverts to its previous value while other edits remain intact. The change history logs this as a new edit.
