How to Refine Eve's Responses
Last updated: March 10, 2026
Overview
This article shows you how to give Eve feedback to adjust her responses until they meet your needs. Once Eve provides an initial response, you can ask her to modify it by making it shorter, changing the focus, adjusting the format, or emphasizing different aspects of the analysis. This is useful when Eve's first response is close but needs refinement.
Prerequisites
You have already sent a prompt to Eve and received a response
You are currently in an active conversation with Eve in a Matter or Session
Step-by-Step Instructions
Review Eve's Initial Response — Read through the response Eve provided to identify what needs adjustment. Look for areas where the response is too long, too broad, missing focus, or not formatted the way you need. You should have a clear idea of what you want changed before proceeding.
Provide Specific Feedback in the Chat — In the same conversation thread, type a follow-up message describing exactly how you want the response adjusted. Be specific about what to change, add, remove, or emphasize. For example, you might say "Please make that shorter and more concise" or "Focus only on the PAGA claims, not the FEHA ones." When you send this message, Eve will generate a revised response that incorporates your feedback.
Continue Refining as Needed — If the revised response still isn't quite right, provide additional feedback in the same conversation. You can iterate multiple times until the response meets your needs. Each time you provide feedback, Eve will adjust her response accordingly, building on the previous version.
